Bio:
After graduation I went to Peabody College for Teachers and got my bachelor's degree in elementary education and special education. I married Roland Gower and after teaching for five years in Nashville we moved to Kansas. Roland did his internship at Kansas University Hospital. We parted ways and Roland moved to Alaska for his residency and I stayed in Kansas and taught, and taught, and taught, for 30 years! During that time I met George Root. We have been married for 23 years. George is a trust investment officer at a local bank. At the age of 42 George and I adopted our son Scott. So while you all talk about your grandchildren I talk about my recent high school graduate. He is beginning college in the fall and plans to be a 3-D animator for video games. I retired after 35 years in teaching in 2001. Currently I am enjoying my retirement years with a wonderful husband and son.
I look forward to seeing many of you at the reunion. My home is in Kansas but my heart is still in Nashville.
